Online Maths Tutor
in Australia
One-to-one lessons with an Online Maths Tutor who knows the course your child is actually enrolled in. Primary number sense, the Year 7 to 10 algebra build, and senior Methods, Specialist, Advanced or Extension, taught against your state’s syllabus rather than a generic worksheet.

Maths Tutoring From Primary to Year 12
Maths is the one subject where a gap left in Year 6 quietly costs marks in Year 11. Good maths tutoring in Australia finds that gap first, then moves forward.
Lessons Around the School Week
After-school and weekend times across every Australian time zone, with extra sessions before topic tests, problem-solving tasks and trial exams.
Plans Charged in AUD
Transparent Australian-dollar pricing with nothing to sign up for long term. Families often add physics or chemistry to the same plan once senior subjects are chosen.
Method You Can Reuse
We teach students to set out working so that a marker can follow it, because in senior maths most marks sit in the steps, not in the final number.
The Australian Curriculum:
Mathematics, Strand by Strand
Version 9.0 organises Foundation to Year 10 maths into six strands. New South Wales teaches its own K–10 syllabus and Victoria its own curriculum, both built on the same national framework.
Number & Algebra
Place value, fractions, integers and proportional reasoning, growing into linear and quadratic relationships, index laws and functions.
Measurement & Space
Units, area and volume, angle reasoning, transformations, Pythagoras and right-angled trigonometry by the end of Year 9.
Statistics & Probability
Collecting and representing data, measures of centre and spread, chance experiments and the bivariate data work that General and Standard courses build on.
Year 10 Decides More Than Families Realise
Which senior course a student can realistically take is usually settled by how secure their Year 9 and 10 algebra is, well before subject selection night.
One National Framework, Eight Senior Certificates
Up to Year 10 the content lines up closely across the country. In Years 11 and 12 every state names, structures and examines its maths courses differently, so we match tutors to the certificate, not just the year level.
VCE (Victoria)
Foundation, General, Mathematical Methods, Specialist Mathematics
HSC (New South Wales)
Standard, Advanced, Extension 1, Extension 2
QCE (Queensland)
Essential, General, Mathematical Methods, Specialist Mathematics
WACE (Western Australia)
Mathematics Essential, Applications, Methods, Specialist
SACE & NTCET (SA and NT)

TCE & ACT SSC
TASC and BSSS accredited maths courses, from applied to specialist level
Course names and assessment weightings are revised from time to time. Your child’s school and state curriculum authority have the final word on what applies to their cohort.
Your Child’s Maths Roadmap, Year by Year
Our online maths tutoring follows the order in which ideas depend on each other, because each stage is built from the one before it.
Years 1–6, Primary
Place value, mental strategies, times tables and, most importantly, fractions. Primary students who leave Year 6 with a shaky sense of fractions tend to find early algebra much harder than it should be.
- Number facts & place value
- Fractions & decimals
Years 7–8, Transition
Integers, ratios, percentages and the first formal algebra. A new school, a new teacher every year and pronumerals all arrive at once, which is where many confident primary students first wobble.
- Negative numbers & ratio
- Solving linear equations
Years 9–10, Pathways
Quadratics, trigonometry, surds and exponentials, often split into standard and extension (10A or Path) classes. The extension material is what Methods and Advanced assume from the first week of Year 11.
- Factorising & quadratics
- Trigonometry & surds
Years 11–12, ATAR
Functions, calculus, probability distributions and, at specialist level, vectors, complex numbers and proof. Results are scaled before they feed the ATAR, and many STEM degrees list a specific course as a prerequisite.
- Differential & integral calculus
- Exam technique under time
Maths Tutors Who Know Your Child’s Course
We pair each student with a tutor who has a maths, engineering or quantitative science degree and who has taught the specific course involved, whether that is Year 4 multiplication or HSC Extension 2. Every tutor holds a current Working with Children Check before their first lesson.
- Working with Children Check, kept current
- Degree in maths or a maths-heavy discipline
- Familiar with CAS and technology-free exam papers
Maths Lesson Plans For Each Year
Week-by-week Australian maths lesson plans showing what students cover at each year level, from Year 1 counting to Year 10 trigonometry and deductive geometry.
